Policy debate is the single most powerful extracurricular activity anyone can do in high school. There is no better preparation for a thoughtful and passionate life.

The Basics: What you need to know.
Policy debate is an after school extracurricular at La Crosse Central. We practice three times a week (MWF) after school until approximately 5pm in Room 304 (Mr. Colburn's room). The debate season runs the length of the 1st semester--from September until mid-January.

Central Debate participates in policy debate, also sometimes called cross-examination debate. This is the oldest and most rigorous form of high school debate. We are a members of the Wisconsin Debate Coaches Association and the National Speech and Debate Association.
